Harlan County 4-H Council Scholarship

The Harlan County 4-H Council will support two scholarships for high school seniors for a total sum of $1500.  
This scholarship may be applied to any university, college, or technical school. 

  1. The applicant must be a High School Senior with sufficient credits for college entrance and a desire to further their education. 
  2. This applicant must be an enrolled, current Harlan County 4-H member. 
  3. A Scholarship Selection Committee will determine the number and amount of scholarships. 
  4. Two letters of recommendation are required. 
  5. The applicant must include a current unofficial transcript at the time the application is submitted. 
  6. The scholarship will be available in full at the end of the student’s first semester of higher education after the 4-H Council receives proof of enrollment for a second semester. It is the responsibility of the recipient to submit their class schedule to the Harlan County Extension Office. 
  7. Deadline:  March 1.  All applications, references, and transcripts shall be completed and submitted to Nebraska Extension – Harlan County.
  8. The recipients will notify Nebraska Extension – Harlan County or Harlan County 4-H Council of their school plans and provide the financial aid office contact and school identification number so the scholarship may be sent.
