The Harlan County 4-H Council will support two scholarships for high school seniors for a total sum of $1500.
This scholarship may be applied to any university, college, or technical school.
- The applicant must be a High School Senior with sufficient credits for college entrance and a desire to further their education.
- This applicant must be an enrolled, current Harlan County 4-H member.
- A Scholarship Selection Committee will determine the number and amount of scholarships.
- Two letters of recommendation are required.
- The applicant must include a current unofficial transcript at the time the application is submitted.
- The scholarship will be available in full at the end of the student’s first semester of higher education after the 4-H Council receives proof of enrollment for a second semester. It is the responsibility of the recipient to submit their class schedule to the Harlan County Extension Office.
- Deadline: March 1. All applications, references, and transcripts shall be completed and submitted to Nebraska Extension – Harlan County.
- The recipients will notify Nebraska Extension – Harlan County or Harlan County 4-H Council of their school plans and provide the financial aid office contact and school identification number so the scholarship may be sent.
This application needs to include the following:
- Application Form
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Transcript of current classes
