Livestock Quality Assurance

All meat species animal exhibitors (beef, sheep, swine, dairy, goats, poultry, and rabbits) must comply with a Youth Quality assurance program and hold a certificate in order to participate at County Fair, State Fair, or Ak-Sar-Ben shows.  Ages are based on age at January 1 of current year.  QA certification needs to be completed by June 15th.  Quality Assurance Online Course can be found at 4h.unl.edu/qualityassurance.  The self-directed online course is divided into 3 levels.  Junior, intermediate, and senior.  Each year youth will be required to complete three modules within their age level.  At the completion of the modules, you will take a quize and upon passing will print a certificate to take to the Extension Office.

Face to Face Quality Assurance Classes

April 17 - 1-3pm; Clay County Fairgrounds

April 20 - 6-8pm; Adams County Fairgrounds.  Pre-regisitration is required to the Adams County Extension Office.  402-461-7209
