4-H Invitational Horse Show

Buffalo County Fairgrounds - Kearney, Nebraska

7:30 a.m. – Registration

8:00 a.m. – Show Begins

Open Dress - 4-H Rules

High-Point Buckles & Res. High-Point Awards plus prizes for 1st-3rd place in each class

Must be present to collect High Point

Entry Fees- $7.00 Office Charge, $7.00 per class or $35.00 for all day + Office Charge

 

Age Divisions (as of January 1 of the current year)

4 Divisions – Walk Trot-All Ages (Div. 1), 8-11 (Div. 2), 12-14 (Div. 3) and 15-18 (Div. 4)

 

All classes start with the senior division. 

Show order: Seniors (Div. 4), Intermediate (Div. 3), Juniors (Div. 2), Walk Trot (Div. 1)

*Classes DO NOT count towards high point awards.  High Point is Showmanship +5 classes of your choice.  SMS is the tiebreaker class.  One horse, One rider for each high point bid.

 

Classes

  1. English Pleasure (4 age divisions).
  2. English Equitation (4 age divisions).
  3. Showmanship (4 divisions starting with seniors).

15 Minute Break

  1. 2 & 3 Year Old Western Pleasure – Showing together but judged separately. (1 age division).
  2. Walk-Trot Western Pleasure (rider cannot enter a loping class).
  3. Western Pleasure (3 age divisions).
  4. Western Horsemanship (4 age divisions).
  5. In-Hand Trail – Yearlings & 2 year olds (1 age division).
  6. Trail (4 age divisions).
  7. Ranch Horse Pleasure Level II Riders & above (3 age divisions).
  8. Ranch Riding (3 age divisions).
  9. Reining (3 age divisions).
  10. Pole Bending (3 age divisions).
  11. Barrel Racing (3 age divisions).

If speed events are held indoors, Keyhole Race will be held instead of Barrels.

  1. Ride- A- Buck * No entry fee.  Bring your own dollar. 

50% split the pot to the winner.
