Nebraska Extension will offer Landlord-Tenant Lease Workshops Nov. 30 at Scottsbluff and Dec. 1 at Alliance, to help landlords and tenants develop leases that are right for both parties while maintaining positive farm leasing relations.

      Meeting and registration details:

      Scottsbluff: Nov. 30, 9:30 a.m. at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center. To register call 308-632-1247.

      Alliance: Dec. 1, 9:30 a.m. at the Alliance Library. To register call 308-762-5616.

      Workshop topics:

Boot Camp for nonprofit boards set for Nov. 30 at Scottsbluff, from 4:30-8:30 p.m., at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center, 4502 Avenue I. Dinner is included. 

      Rural communities are supported by numerous nonprofits organized to manage local projects and events. With the year winding down, boards start preparing to transition new members.

      While willing to serve in new leadership roles, many people come onto boards with no familiarity or knowledge of how nonprofit organizations function or the legal requirements. Since rules and regulations governing nonprofits change, it’s also important for continuing board members to be updated periodically.
