Enrollment

• Holt County 4-H Enrollment Due by January 1, 2024 online at v2.4honline.com/

• Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports Disciplines Offered

  Youth who are at least 8 years of age by January 1st (4-H Age) may explore subject areas below with an exception:

  • Archery – 8 years old up
  • BB Gun – 8 years old up
  • Air Rifle, Air Pistol – 9 years old & up
  • Smallbore Rifle (.22 caliber) – 9 years old and up
  • Smallbore Pistol (.22 caliber) –10 years old & up
  • Shotgun – 9 years old & up
  • Trap Team – New in 2023 for Grades 6-12 (must have completed Hunter Safety)
  • Muzzle Loading – 10 years old & up

  *EXCEPTION:

  • First Year Shooters who HAVE completed Hunter Safety – are eligible to participate in all disciplines
  • First Year Shooters who have NOT completed Hunter Safety – can ONLY participate in Archery and BB Gun
• Holt County Shooting Sports Age Divisions

  • Each firearm discipline follows the same age divisions:

  • Junior: 8 to 9 years old

  • Intermediate: 10 to 13 years old

  • Seniors: 14+ years old

• Archery Age divisions:

  • Junior: 8 to 11 years old
  • Intermediate: 12 to 14 years old
  • Seniors: 15 to 18 years old
• The Holt County Extension Office must approve your enrollment before you considered full enrolled and covered by 4-H Insurance. The 4-H'er will NOT be allowed to shoot until fully enrolled.
• 2024 Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports Discipline Registration and Dues Form - Due by Tuesday, January 2, 2024
  After you have completed your 4-H enrollment and project selection you will complete this form.
• 2024 Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports Clothing Order Form - Due by Tuesday, February 2, 2024

• Fair Shoot and Registration

• All 4-Hers are required to register for the fair shoot through fairwire. Refer to the July 4-H newsletter for the fairwire link to register by July 21st.
• Holt County Shooting Sports Record Book
  Holt County Shooting Sports record books must be turned into the extension office by October 1. Youth who turn in record books will be acknowledged and prizes/awards given out at the end of the 4-H year at the 4-H Achievement Ceremony.
