Research Facility Coordinator

RESEARCH FACILITY  COORDINATOR (NORTH PLATTE, NE)
West Central Research, Extension and Education Center - University of Nebraska-Lincoln
The person in this position will be responsible for the operation and management of the Pesticide Application Laboratory. The incumbent will contribute to leading a team in the operational aspects and future direction of the facilities to meet needs in pesticide application research. 
 
Ensure oversight and performance of the laboratory to meet the needs of internal and external research groups. Ensure efficient use of equipment, resources and personnel. Develop and recommend research protocols and experimental designs to scientists from academia or the private sector. Support connections to industry for faculty research projects in collaboration with the Pesticide Application Laboratory. 
Seek and establish effective disciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborations including effective integration with research groups, extension action teams, and/or educational programming; connect with stakeholders, agency, and/or industry partners to strengthen research, extension, and/or educational programming activities; mentor undergraduate research scholars, student interns and graduate students for WCREC.
 
Maintain fiscal responsibility and ensure confidentiality of client projects. Present new research findings and newly developed techniques at professional meetings.
