Meet the Ambassadors: 2022 Senior Ambassadors
The primary goal of the Washington County 4-H Ambassador Program is to develop leadership skills and build communication skills to be utilized in an advocacy role for the Washington County 4-H Program as well as in other aspects of the Ambassador's life.
Through this program, 4-H Staff members are committed to offering you:
- increased understanding of your leadership skills and abilities
- increased confidence in yourself
- better understanding of the Washington County 4-H Program
- and more!
Youth ages 16-18 as of January 1, 2022 are eligible to apply.

- Washington County Senior Ambassador Program - FULFILLMENT OF DUTIES 2022
WASHINGTON COUNTY 4-H COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP:
- Each Washington County 4-H Senior Ambassador will receive a $500 college scholarship if all duties are fulfilled within the one-year time period.
- 4-H members may be an Ambassador for more than one year in which the college scholarship dollars would accumulate and be awarded at the start of their college career.
- To receive the college scholarship dollars, 4-H Ambassadors will:
- Complete the “Fulfillment of Duties” and submit to the Nebraska Extension in Washington County Office and acquire signature of Nebraska Extension 4-H Staff.
- Scholarship will be awarded after receiving proof of second semester/quarter college registration from a trade program, 2-year or 4-year institution to the Nebraska Extension Office in Washington County. Those enlisting in a branch of the military must send notification of basic training completion.
- Examples of Trade programs accepted but not limited to include (the 4-H Council reserves the right to accept qualifications of Trade Programs for the scholarship):
- Automotive Technician, Cosmetology, Culinary, Dental, and Welding
- Examples of Trade programs accepted but not limited to include (the 4-H Council reserves the right to accept qualifications of Trade Programs for the scholarship):
- Once received, a check for the scholarship amount will be sent to the 4-H Ambassador directly from the Washington County 4-H Council.
4-H JUNIOR AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The primary goal of the Washington County 4-H Junior Ambassador Program is to develop leadership skills and build communication skills to be utilized in an advocacy role for the Washington County 4-H Program as well as in other aspects of the Junior Ambassador's life.
Through this program, 4-H Staff members are committed to offering you:
- increased understanding of your leadership skills and abilities
- increased confidence in yourself
- better understanding of the Washington County 4-H Program
- and more!
Youth ages 13-15 as of January 1, 2022, are eligible to apply.
