The Thurston County Extension Board has two open positions for a three-year term, January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021. The Extension Board is comprised of 6-12 registered voters residing in Thurston County. The purpose of the Extension Board is to establish, maintain and provide direction to the Nebraska Extension program in Thurston County, among others.
Extension covers programming in the areas of
• Livestock Systems
• The Learning Child
• Horticulture, Landscape, and Environmental Systems
• Community Vitality Initiative
• Cropping and Water Systems
• Food, Nutrition & Health
• 4-H Youth Development
The Extension Board is accepting names until December 29, 2017 for Thurston County. Applicants do not have to be experts in any of these areas, but more importantly have a passion for helping Thurston County and its residents.
