Become an Intern with Otoe County 4-H!
The Otoe County 4-H program is seeking a part-time, motivated intern to assist with our youth summer 4-H programs. The successful candidate will assist Nebraska Extension in Otoe County staff in teaching high quality science and agriculture workshops, helping lead Otoe County 4-H Fair activities, and working on other projects as assigned. Summer interns are paid at $15.00 per hour, with up to 20 hours per week for 12 weeks (May through August).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Recommended but not required 1-2 years training/education/other experience in fields related to agriculture, science, or education
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages, with an emphasis on K-12 youth
- Positive and team-focused attitude
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a flexible environment
- Professionally represent University of Nebraska Extension and Otoe County
- Must pass a background check
- Some evening and weekend work required
