Ph.D. Entomology, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 1999

Professional Responsibilities and Activities:

Our goal is to develop and provide comprehensive insect management recommendations that are specific to the unique combinations environmental conditions, pest complexes, and cropping systems of northeast Nebraska and the north central U.S. This includes being responsive to the current needs of our clientele and anticipating and responding to emerging issues. Our approach is based on the principles of integrated pest management.

Our research and extension program covers a variety of issues important to farmers and focuses on corn, soybean, and alfalfa. The research projects fall in the general categories of economic threshold development, resistance management, insect pest biology & behavior, emerging problems, and product efficacy.

 USDA Regional Research Projects:

NC246: Ecology and Management of Arthropods in Corn
S1080: Improving Soybean Arthropod Pest Management in the U.S.
