University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREC) near Mead and Haskell Ag Lab at Concord are serving as two of the collection locations for hay (large bales) donations and fencing materials for livestock owners/managers who were impacted by the recent adverse weather events in Nebraska.
If someone calls to donate hay, direct them to the drop sites. Drops sites have a phone number that can be called. Drop sites can be found at:
If a producer in the affected areas need hay/feed, they need to submit a request to or contact Nebraska Department of Ag. Livestock producers affected by recent flooding in need of donated hay or fencing materials, please call Nebraska Department of Ag (NDA) at 1-800-831-0550.
The Haskell Ag Lab has received numerous loads. We are so grateful for the generous donations from Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa as well as other states that may have donated. These loads have left almost as fast as they have come in to help livestock owners and managers that have been impacted by the recent flooding and blizzards in Nebraska. A special thanks to Logan Dana, our farm operations manager, for coordinating delivery and pickup of these loads.
