No-Till on the Plains Sponsoring a Cover Crop/Soil Health Field Day - August 10th

No-till on the Plains is sponsoring a field day at the University of Nebraska Rogers Memorial Farm, ten miles east of Lincoln on August 10th. According to Extension Engineer Paul Jasa, who conducts research at the farm, a field day will be held featuring soil health and cover crop research at the farm.  At the farm attendees will see a pit in long-term no-till, a rainfall simulator, a variety of long-term research projects, cover crops planted into wheat stubble, a set of demo strips that have five different functional mixes of cover crops, with and without nitrogen fertilizer, and with two planting dates, plus no-till equipment with several modifications.  Cost is $25 plus $15 for lunch (which is optional).  More information, including an agenda and registration details, is available at:
