4-H and FFA Registration for the 2022 Nebraska State Fair

As a reminder, the 4-H entry deadline for the 2022 Nebraska State Fair is Wednesday, August 10th at 8 PM CST. Attached is a step by step instructions sheet for exhibitors.

 All livestock and in-person event exhibitors can begin the entry process by visiting the following site: https://www.statefair.org/competitions-participate/competitions/4-h-ffa-exhibitors and selecting the 4-H/FFA Entry button.

 Reminders:

  • Schedule: 4-H livestock and in-person events will be held the first weekend Friday, August 26-Sunday, August 28. You can review the 4-H schedule here: https://4h.unl.edu/state-fair-schedule
  • Age Eligibility: 4-H members who are 10 years of age before January 1 of the current year may exhibit at State Fair.
  • 4-H Entry limits for each species:
    • Beef (5), Swine (5), Sheep (5), Goat (5), Rabbit (6), Poultry (6 and one dozen eggs)

 

  • Livestock nomination(s) completed in Show Stock Manager is not an entry for State Fair. A livestock nomination is the identification process for making an individual animal eligible for entry and showing evidence that the animal is part of the youth livestock project. When successfully completed online through Show Stock Manager, the nomination will be added to your account in the State Fair entry site when you go to complete your State Fair entries.

 

  • In 2022, exhibitors can purchase daily gate passes (maximum 20), 11-day wristbands, and exhibitor lot parking passes during their entry.
  • In 2022, exhibitors can purchase a permit to have a Sheep/Goat Stand ($10) and/or Beef Blocking Chute ($25). The permit will be valid for both weekends and will be found in the exhibitor packet. Exhibitors will be required to have a permit to have a stand or chute.
  • In 2022, exhibitors will be able to purchase extra pen or stall space. NOTE: Goats are stalled 4 per pen, sheep are stalled 3 per pen and hogs are stalled 2 per pen. If you are bringing yearlings, rams, etc. and need extra pen space, you will need to purchase it.

    • Beef Cattle ($35)
