Knox County 4-H Shooting Sports Program
Knox County 4-H Enrollment - To participate in the Knox County Shooting Sports Program, 4-H members must be enrolled in the 4-H Online Program at this site Sign In (4honline.com) by the deadline of June 15. Membership dues also need to be paid by June 15. Youth can enroll anytime during the year, but all youth must be enrolled with the UNL Extension 4-H Office in Knox County by June 15 and membership dues paid to exhibit at the Knox County Fair or before any competitive 4-H events that year. Competitive events include all Shooting Sports Practices and Contests.
- Seating is unavailable, so please bring your own.
- We encourage you to bring firearm cases, racks will not be available. Also please bring your own shell holders and belts.
- Make sure you show up with your firearm ready to operate and all of your safety gear.
- SAFETY GLASSES AND EAR PROTECTION ARE REQUIRED. If you don't have safety gear, you will not be allowed to participate until you do.
- We encourage participants in any shooting sports discipline to participate in the Shooting Sports Exhibits, such as the Educational Display. For example: ‘The 11 Steps to Archery Success’.

ARCHERY PROGRAM
- Archery Practice/Certification Dates: Held at the Bloomfield Airport. Refer to 4-H Newsletters for specific dates and times.
- All shooters must attend at least two (2) certification practices with a Knox County 4-H certified leader during the current competition year.

- .22 Rifle, .22 Pistol Practice/Certification Dates: Held at the Knox County Fairgrounds in Bloomfield. Refer to the 4-H Newsletters for specific dates and times.
- Shotgun Practice/Certification Dates: Held at the Knox County Fairgrounds in Bloomfield. Refer to the 4-H Newsletters for specific dates and times.
- If there is any question about the weather on a given night, visit the Knox County Shooting Sports Group on Facebook for updates.
- All shooters must attend at least two (2) certification practices with a Knox County 4-H certified leader during the current competition year.

- Ear & Eye Protection - All .22 and shotgun shooters will be reponsible for their own ear and eye protection. No shooter will be allowed to shoot without ear & eye protection. This is for the health and safety of the shooter.
