Here are sample questions a judge may ask as you are interviewing on Pre-Fair Day:

Clothing Exhibits -

  • What was your goal(s) in making this exhibit?
  • What steps did you take as you worked toward your goal?
  • What were the most important things you learned or skills you improved as you worked toward your goal?
  • What is the fiber content of your fabric and the care required?
  • What type of interfacing did you use (if any) and what was the fiber content?

Beyond The Needle Exhibits - 

  • Where did you get the idea for your design?
  • How did you create the design to make it original? (i.e., drew your own design, chose original fabrics or colors, manipulated a design, combined different elements to make a new design, etc.)
  • What skills did you learn or improve when working on this project?
  • What is the fiber content of your fabric and the care required?
