Definitions: Club Member vs. Independent Member
4-H Club Member
A 4-H Club Member participates in regular meetings, either virtually or in-person, held in various locations such as homes, community centers, libraries, schools, or other public spaces. Club members engage in service-learning projects, give presentations, take on roles as club officers, and complete educational and community service activities as part of their 4-H experience.
4-H Independent Member
A 4-H Independent Member participates in planned learning activities outside of a formal club setting. This type of membership is ideal for individuals or family learning efforts. Independent members often engage with 4-H experiences and learning materials through self-guided activities within their family or personal initiatives.
