People of all ages gathered at the Haskell Agricultural Laboratory near Concord for the 2024 Family Field Day on August 7. The event consisted of several agricultural presentations, tours, demonstrations and booths.
There were presentations as well as research posters displayed throughout the day. Jim Jansen presented on Current Trends in Nebraska Land Values, Cash Rates and Lease Considerations for 2024. Glennis McClure's presented What's Your Cost of Production and Breakeven Prices? The ABC's of Enterprise Budgeting. Kelly Feehan presented on Tree Care for Storm Ready Trees. Connor Biehler gave The Great Plains Heifer Development Center Updates followed by Haskell Ag Lab Plant Pathology Research Updates presented by Tamra Jackson-Ziems and Dylan Mangel.
