2018 Market Beef Weigh-in Letter

Dear 4-H Livestock Members:

Early market beef weigh-in and tagging has been set for Saturday, January 27, at NCTA Red Barn from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  Another date has been added on Thursday, February 1, at NCTA Red Barn from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  If you want to compete in Rate of Gain at the fair in Stockville, you MUST weigh your market beef on either of these two days.

There will be an additional weigh date on Saturday, March 3, at NCTA Red Barn from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  If you are competing in Rate of Gain at the fair in Eustis, you CAN weigh your market beef on ANY of the three dates.

Please fill out and bring the enclosed Beef ID Sheet with you. There will be a cost of $1 per tag if the animal will be shown County only.  Payment must be collected the day of the tagging.  The identification sheets need to be signed by the 4-H member and the parents.

Anyone considering showing Market Beef at either State Fair or Ak-Sar-Ben will need to have their animal tagged with an EID tag which will cost $3/tag.  DNA samples need to be pulled at weigh-in and the $6/head charge will need paid online when registering market beef.  More details later.  DNA will not be paid to the county.

Please Bring Correct Change Or A Check.
