Mar. 16, 2020 - EVENTS/ENGAGEMENT UPDATE: Nebraska Extension and the research and extension centers are following University of Nebraska–Lincoln coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines for teaching classes, workshops, etc. All previously planned in-person teaching events (classes, workshops, 4-H events/meetings, etc.) at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center near Mead (and across Nebraska) from March 16-29 are cancelled. However, some programs/events/training may be offered remotely instead or postponed until a later date. Please check with your local Extension office if you have questions on availability, cancellation, or postponement of a specific program or event at ENREC.
From March 30 – May 9, all Extension and 4-H programming will be taught remotely (via teleconference or webinar). Currently, summer programs falling after May 9 will be conducted as previously planned, but watch for updates since this is a very fluid situation.
At this time, meeting space at ENREC’s August N. Christenson Building is not available for reservations until May 9.
