Annual Achievement Application

The Nebraska 4-H Annual Achievement Application is for all 4-H participants ages 8-18. It will be used for the selection of county, state, and national awards and recognition, including the selection of delegates to the National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference. To serve as a delegate for either national experience, youth must turn ages 15-19 during the calendar year in which the trip occurs. Youth interested in being considered as a delegate for these national experiences must make that designation on their application.

YQCA Certification Instructions

Any youth planning on participating in any animal project (large and small animals), you are required to take and pass YQCA training. There are two options again this year. You can take a face-to-face training ($3) or take the on-line training ($12). To register, you will go to https://yqca.learngrow.io/Account/Login. You will use your 4hOnline username and password to access. Then you will enter each child’s information. If you created an account for you child last year within YQCA, you will use the same username and password. If this is your first year, you will need to create one and keep track of it for future use. Each child will then need to select the correct age level and then decide if they are going to face-to-face or online. I will be teaching the following dates: April 1st at 6:00 p.m. at the Garden County Elementary, April 7th at Deuel County Fairgrounds at 2:30 p.m., and April 11th at the Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport at 6:00 p.m. You can choose any date and location you wish, not just the ones I teach!! I will not offer any other than three dates so if you cannot make another location, please choose the online option. Your certificate of completion must be received in the office by June 15th.

Garden County Livestock Record Book

In 2018, Garden County has optional livestock record books that can be completed and entered at the fair.  These are due at 8:00 Saturday morning of the fair. No late record books will be excepted. Regardless of species, all age groups will compete for a cash prize. The top junior (8-10 yrs old) will receive $25, top intermediate (11-13 yrs old) will receive $50, and the top senior (14-18) will receive $75. You are encouraged to enter a book for each of your species. However, entering one for each species will only increase your chances at the top award because you have more options to choose from. We are looking for completeness and thoughtful answers!

You are allowed to download the above excel files, edit and print at home. We suggest you print each page individually instead of printing entire workbook at one time. You may need to select "Scale to one Page" when you print to get it print on one page. If you do not want to print, you can come to the office to get a hard copy that youth can write on.
