Market Beef Weigh In - February 3, 2018, 9:00am-12:00pm, Crawford Livestock Market

Market Sheep/Goat Weigh In - May 29, 2018, Dawes County Fairgrounds

*New for 2018* - Recently, Nebraska 4-H announced that they would no longer require EID tags for 4-H Market Sheep / Goats, as they will be using the scrapie tag for identification purposes. Dawes County will no longer require a separate tag (either EID or 4-H tag) and will require that all 4-H Sheep and Goat Project Animals (Bottle, Breeding, and Market) ) have a scrapie tag. All project animals should have their scrapie tag in place by the weigh in date. The scrapie tag number will serve as the identification tag number on the Animal Affidavit Form which must be turned in to the office by June 1.

June 1st Deadlines:

      1. In order for the 4-Hers to access YQCA online training their file in 4-H Online must be active.
      2. When the 4-Her completes the online training they will need to print off the completion certificate and bring it to the Extension Office so Counties can manually enter the results into their 4-H online file.
      3. 4-Hers that do face to face (F2F) training will need to print off their certificate of completion after the instructor verifies they have participated in a F2F training session. 


July 15th Deadlines

    • Dog & Cat Vaccination Forms Deadline (Must be turned in with Fair Entry) - July 15, 2018
    • Dawes County Fair Entry Deadline - July 15, 2018 (without fee),  Late Entry Deadline is July 19, 2018 (with fee)
