Division 070: Poultry

Exhibitors are eligible for one entry in each class. Poultry exhibited must be grown in a club member’s project. Exhibitor must be present at the show for the animals to be judged. Oral showmanship presentation is limited to five minutes and points may be deducted for exceeding the time limit.

A pen of broilers shall consist of three male birds 6-9 weeks of age. A pen of hybrid, crossbred or purebred egg production birds shall consist of three sexually mature females (must be actively laying). Pens of broilers or egg production will be judged for production qualities only and need not necessarily conform to breed standards.

No bird may be entered in more than one class. If a bird is entered as an individual it cannot be entered as part of a pen; likewise, birds entered in a pen may not be entered as individuals.

*G070023 – Eggs. One dozen white, brown or colored eggs in a carton. Eggs are judged on external qualities and will be taken home after judging.
