4-H'ers from Boone and Nance Counties age 8 or older as of January 1 are invited to participate in Animal Science 101 and Equine Science (Horse Quiz Bowl). Each group will go to a State Contest. The meetings will be held at the Extension Office at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Albion. If you are unable to attend the first meeting, but are interested in either group, please call the Extension Office.
(It is not necessary to own a horse to participate in the Horse Quiz Bowl.)
Animal Science 101 will meet on the following dates:
- March 31 - Easter - No meeting!
- April 7 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm
- April 14 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm
- April 21 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm (Tentatively)
- May 5 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm
- May 14 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm - Team Selection
- May 19 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm - Team Selection
- May 22 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm - Team Selection
- May 29 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm
- June 2 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm
- June 9 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm
- June 12 - Animal Science Curriculum - 6:30 pm
- June 16 - Animal Science Curriculum - 1:30 pm
- June 19 - Depart for Lincoln for State Contests
- June 20 - State 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl, Skillathon, and Meats Contests
- June 21 - State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest
