Apply Now – Deadline is December 15th

Eighteen individuals or teams have the opportunity to compete at the 2018 ESI Capitol Contest on Wednesday, January 17th.  Apply before December 15th to be considered for this honor and opportunity.    The ESI Capitol Contest is sponsored by Nebraska Extension and Senator John Stinner, Gering, District 48.  Senator Stinner is a champion of early childhood education and youth entrepreneurship.

Students presenting at the ESI Capitol ContestSelected applicants will showcase their businesses around the Capitol Rotunda and meet with judges for cash prizes.  Individuals will be judged on their business concept, presentation and display table.  Applicants, and sponsors or parents, will also tour the Capitol and visit the Legislative Chambers.   

The 2018 ESI Capitol Contest is open to all students who have completed the EntrepreneurShip Investigation program, or a similar entrepreneurship course, offered through their school or community.  Eligible students must be enrolled in the 5th through 9th grades.
