Nebraska 4-H requires all youth enrolled in livestock projects to complete quality assurance training through Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA). This training is a national multi-species quality assurance program focused on three core pillars: food safety, animal well-being, and character development. YQCA training is completed online through self-directed courses, face-to-face training, or a testing out for Intermediate and Senior Divisions is also available. Watch your newsletter for more details or contact the Extension Office for questions. This must be completed before the 4-H member is allowed to show at fair. Horse, pygmy goat, dog and cat are not included in the YQCA training.
