On Wednesday, May 29, 2025, 24 youth entertained and impressed the audience with piano, instrumental, and vocal performances at the 2025 Richardson County 4-H Music Contest. The contest was held at the First United Methodist Church in Falls City with Michael Valdez of Falls City serving as our judge.
All awards were donated by the Richardson County 2025 Booster Group.
Clover Kid Piano Solo – Ethan Ramsey, Charlie Merz, and Evelyn Williams all performed piano solos and received Clover Kid Ribbons.
Junior Piano Solo - Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Tallon Wamsley. Reserve Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Scarlett DeJonge. Lynnley Ankrom was awarded a Blue Ribbon.
Intermediate Piano Solo – Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Kylie Ramsey. Reserve Champion and Blue Ribbons were awarded to Berkely Davis. Charles Wamsley was awarded a Blue Ribbon.
Intermediate Instrumental Solo - Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Charles Wamsley for a trumpet solo. Reserve Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Justin Drummond for a drum solo. A Blue Ribbon was awarded to Justin Drummond for his bells performance.
Senior Instrumental Solo – Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Jakob Manning for his tuba solo.
Intermediate Instrumental Group – Champion and Blue Ribbons were awarded to the group performance of Avery Hilgenfeld, who played on bells, Gavin Bittner, who played on the drums, Halle DeJonge and Brey Davis who both played on saxophones.
Clover Kid Vocal Solo – Hannah Maxwell and Jacob Maxwell both received clover kid ribbons for their vocal performances.
Junior Vocal Solo – Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Maylee Guenther. Reserve Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Scarlett DeJonge. A Purple Ribbon was awarded to Molly Merz.
Intermediate Vocal Solo – Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Elizabeth Maxwell. Reserve Champion and Blue Ribbons were awarded to Jazlyn Dettmann. A Blue Ribbon was awarded to Josefina Wanek-Flores
Senior Vocal Solo – Champion and Purple Ribbons were awarded to Renee Drummond. Reserve Champion and Blue Ribbons were awarded to Jakob Manning. Renee Drummond also received a Blue Ribbon for her second performance.
Intermediate Vocal Duet – Champion and Blue Ribbons were awarded to Lynnley Ankrom & Berkely Davis for their duet.
