
Small children don’t eat a lot of food at one time. A healthy snack
helps meet their energy needs.
Chose snacks foods that are low in sugar and fat. Children enjoy sweet foods, but too much sugar can hurt their teeth. Set limits on the amount of sweet, fatty foods eaten.
Leave at least one hour between snack time and meal time for young children.
