September 22nd & 23rd - Adams County Fairgrounds

The Canine Companions for Life - Nebraska 4-H Dog Expo is designed to provide youth from across the state opportunities to meet other youth, exchange ideas in a fun environment, learn more about their dog, as well as provide an opportunity to work with their canine companion. Obedience, agility, rally obedience, and showmanship classes along with educational sessions will be held Friday, September 22, 2017, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 9 a.m. at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings, Nebraska. Registration and crating on Saturday will be available at 8:30 a.m. There will be educational workshops, hands-on clinics, and multiple show rings operating throughout the day, all provided in a comfortable indoor venue. Agility courses may be held outside.

Educational sessions are also available for adult volunteers and parents assisting with youth's 4-H dog projects. Adults are also invited to sit in on the youth workshops.

Youth may participate in show classes including showmanship, obedience, agility, and rally-obedience, as well as fun classes such as clover kid showmanship (ages 5-7), costume contest, quiz bowl, dog photography, crate area decoration contest, dog art, and dog educational exhibit. Educational events are also offered throughout the Expo covering topics such as dog care, careers, dog training, and dog showing.

There will be a registration fee, which will include all classes and clinics. The entry fee is waived for Clover Kids, but an individual entry form is required.
