Kevin Flesner |
This is Kevin's third year serving on 4-H Council. This year, Kevin is serving as the 4-H Council President. Kevin has been involved with the Washington County 4-H Program for 6 years. His favorite part about the 4-H Program is meeting and learning as a whole group. Fun fact about Kevin: He has 4 boys! |
Walker Behnken

This is Walker's third year serving on 4-H Council as a Youth Member.This year, he serves as 4-H Council Vice President. Walker has been involved in the Washington County 4-H Program for 12 years. His favorite part about the 4-H Program is the opportunity to show Dairy Cattle. |
Karen Murch-Shafer
|
Karen Murch-Shafer currently serves as the 4-H Council Treasurer. She has been involved with Washington County 4-H for the past 10+ years when her son began as a Clover Kid. "I love the aspect of 4-H that involves working with your kids on projects that build on life skills. The kids hopefully learn something and I usually do too. It is great to see the progression the kids make over the years." Fun fact: Karen is a bee keeper and can juggle! |
Hollie Booth |
Hollie is serving her second year on 4-H Council. She has been involved with Washington County 4-H for 6 years. Her favorite part about 4-H is being involved with her kids and watching them learn many different skills. Fun fact: Hollie is serving on 4-H Council with her oldest daughter, Ella! |
Carter Behnken

Carter is excited to serve on 4-H Council so he can learn more leadership skills and meet more people who are part of the 4-H program. Carter is a member of the Pasture Pals 4-H Club and the Washington County 4-H Archery Club. This year is Carter’s 10th year in 4-H! |
Ella Booth |
Ella is serving her second year on 4-H Council. She has been involved with Washington County 4-H for 7 years. Her favorite part about 4-H is showing her animals. Fun fact: Ella is serving on 4-H Council with her mom, Hollie! |
Norah Cloudt

Norah would like to utilize the skills I have developed through 4-H and give back to the organization through serving on the 4-H Council. Norah has been a part of the Washington County 4-H Program for 10 years as a member of the WashCo Blazers 4-H Club. This is Norah’s first year as a member of the 4-H Council. |
Connor Flesner |
This is Connor’s first year as a member for the 4-H Council. Connor has been a member of the Trail Blazers 4-H Club for 6 years. Connor is excited to provide the council with input from a 4-H member point of view. Fun fact: Connor is serving on council with his dad! |
Cindy Laaker

Cindy is serving her fourth year on the 4-H Council. She has been involved in Washington County 4-H as a Project Leader for 10+ years and was a 4-H Member for 10 years. Cindy's favorite part about the 4-H program is that youth can learn life skills and get the chance to meet new people. |
Chelsea Lambert |
Chelsea is serving her second year on 4-H Council. Chelsea has been involved with Washington County 4-H for 14 years as a 4-H Leader, and before that for 10 years as a 4-H'er. Her favorite part of 4-H is seeing how much kids learn throughout each year. Fun fact: Chelsea uses her rabbits as therapy animals and she gets to take them to work with her! |
Keith Mertz |
This is Keith’s first year serving on the Washington County 4-H Council. Keith is a 4-H alumna after being involved for 9 years. Keith and his wife have two daughters in the 4-H Program. Keith volunteers his time assisting with the Trail Blazers 4-H Club. |
Russell Quinn |
Russell is currently serving his first year as a member of the Washington County 4-H Council. He has been the assistant leader of the Future Producers 4-H Club for five years. Keith and his wife Tracie have three children in the 4-H Program; Kyle, Burke and Ella. |
Tyler Thompson |
Tyler is currently serving his first year on the Washington County 4-H Council. Tyler has been a member of the Silver Spurs 4-H Club for 7 years. Tyler has shown in a variety of local, state and national events and is currently involved with the National Western Stock Show Catch-A-Calf program. Fun Fact: Tyler currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Nebraska Junior Simmental Association. |
