The below scholarship opportunities are for Washington County 4-H youth who are active participants in the Washington County 4-H Program. Please give attention to age requirements, as there are some restrictions. If you are planning on asking 4-H Staff for a Letter of Recommendation, please allow 2 weeks or more notice to allow adequate time to complete before the deadline.

Washington County 4-H Camp Scholarships

Due November 30 for 2021 to Washington County Extension Office

The Washington County 4-H Council sponsors a 4-H Camp scholarship for 4-H'ers interested in attending a Nebraska 4-H Summer Camp. Scholarship amounts are as follows: $20 for Clover Kid recipients, $50 for recipients who did not complete a 2020 Achievement Application and $100 for recipients who completed the 2020 Achievement Application. The application opens on November 5, 2021.

Nebraska Farm Bureau & Area County Scholarships

The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture (NFBFA) is committed to educating and supporting the next generation of farmers, ranchers, and agriculture professionals. Washington County: Up to $1000 payable in 2 (two)  equal installments to be paid by the beginning of each session of the academic term. Applications are due March 31.

Douglas County: Two awards for $4,000 each pursuing a college degree and two awards for $2,000 each pursuing a trade school diploma.  All scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree or diploma to support the agriculture community.  Applicant must belong to a family that has been a Douglas County Farm Bureau member for three years. Martha And Don Romeo Scholarship

Due November 30 for 2021 to Nebraska Extension in Washington County

The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers will award a $500 scholarship to one qualifying male and a $500 scholarship to one qualifying female who are graduating seniors in the State of Nebraska who plan to continue with post-high school education.  The scholarship will be awarded at the annual NAFM convention in January.

Nebraska 4-H Foundation "Club of the Month" Award

Due the second Friday of every month.
Nominate your club for Nebraska 4-H Club of the Month! The Nebraska 4-H Foundation and Nebraska 4-H Ambassadors have joined together to start a program that recognizes 4-H clubs throughout the state of Nebraska. Any 4-H club may nominate itself to be the Club of the Month.  The club that is chosen to be Club of the Month will receive a $50 cash card from the Nebraska 4-H Foundation and their story will be showcased on the Nebraska 4-H Foundation’s Facebook, Twitter, and website along with the State 4-H website and Facebook and in their local newspaper.

Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships

To apply for scholarships, 4-Her's must submit the Nebraska 4-H Achievement Application for state-level review by January 15th.
