Club Leader Resources

Join the Club

Club Leaders,

The traditional club is the cornerstone of the 4-H program. Over the years, the 4-H program has changed to meet the needs of the local youth and families. It is true that 4-H today is not your grandma’s 4-H program. As 4-H has grown to include additional projects and includes more than the traditional club program.

As a new 4-H year starts, I am challenging myself to take ACTION. The Extension Office wants to commit to you more resources to make your job easier. So please hold us accountable and give us feedback on what is working or not working.

Starting a New 4-H Club

When a new 4-H Club is formed in Nebraska, the 4-H Volunteer Leader or other person in charge of the 4-H Unit must complete the Request for Official Approval for Establishment of New 4-H Unit and Club Charter. Completion of this form provides the 4-H Club permission to use the 4-H Name and Emblem.

Template Constitution and Bylaws

The Template Constitution and Bylaws is a guide used to assist Nebraska 4-H Clubs with providing structure around the club's name/identity; mission and purpose; membership; officers; duties, and terms; meetings; fiscal operations; use of club revenue; and dissolution.
