School Enrichment through Nebraska Extension Cass County

Welcome to 2015-2016 Cass County 4-H School Enrichment

4-H School Enrichment - University of Nebraska Extension’s “learning by doing” programs - can help students develop skills and knowledge to meet the Nebraska State Board of Education Standards in Science, Social Studies and Reading/Writing.

4-H is the youth component of University of Nebraska Extension.  Cooperation between UNL Extension and school systems has existed for many years, complementing the educational goals of both 4-H and schools.  The educational materials used in 4-H are based on research and current technical knowledge and are produced by specialists from the University of Nebraska, National 4-H Office and various universities and organizations throughout the United States. To meet federal accountability requirements for UNL Extension, teachers must provide a summary of the participants on the enrollment form.  Funding and revisions of programs are made based on these statistics.

The School Enrichment program is part of the 4-H program and, therefore, students who participate in these courses are offered the same opportunity as 4-Hers....to participate in camps, 4-H activities, fair exhibits, as well as other 4-H projects. Further information may be obtained from the Cass County Extension Office.
