4-H Summer Workshop - Community Service Days in Cass County

The 2016 Cass County Community Workshops are June 7th, 8th, and 9th from 9:00 to 3:30.  Come and go as you can!  Cass County has a strong and wonderful tradition of many hands working together to accomplish much for our community.  Plan to come—we have something for everyone to do!  If you want to stay all day, please bring a lunch.  Mid-morning and afternon snacks will be provided.  Parents and leaders are more than welcome to join us for this opportunity to do good!

 Projects include:  assembling food jars and soup bags, table top decorations for the nursing homes, activity bags for children in helping agency waiting areas, dressed bears and stuffed animals for emergency workers to hand out, sewing projects which include pillowcases, quilts, kennel mats, pillowcase dresses, etc, and planting flowers. 

If you can donate something - bring it along when you come to the workshop.  We need:  potting soil, coloring books, new box of crayons, sticker books, colored pencils, stickers, simple card games, bears or stuffed animals to dress, old doll clothes, mason jars, quart size freezer zip-lock bags, snack sized zip-lock bags, any size/and color of cotton and cotton blend fabric, thread, old bedspreads or old blankets for stuffing, Any donations will be helpful.  We will also have a basket for items for military personal; these will be donated to the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. or similar organization.   Read about Blue Start Mothers at this link:  http://www.bluestarmothers.org/
