Curriculum Overview

Part A: Build a Foundation

The first section includes a concrete activity for each of the 12 common core foundational skills. Students discover and develop core skills to create a strong foundation for any interest area and career path.

Part B: The Umbrella Unit

The second section provides an introduction to entrepreneurship and serves as an umbrella to cover any possible field of career interest.

Part C: Dive in

Once they've developed core skills and learned entrepreneurial basics, students dive into the Career Fields. For each field, students explore career opportunities and the skills needed for success. Interrelated 4-H curricula is identified for each of the career fields.

Part D: Ready to LEAP

In this final section, students design their own, customized Learning Experiences Action Plan (L.E.A.P.). This plan will provide each program graduate with an actionable strategy for use as they leap into their education and career development.
